Diane Thériault

Diane Thériault obtained her diploma in dental hygiene from the College de Maisonneuve following two years of University in Science and Business Administration. She has had over 25 years as a clinical dental hygienist in general practice and pedodontics practice.

Early in her career as a dental hygienist, she began volunteering with the NB Dental Hygienists Association as a council member, Treasurer and Representative of the NBCDH to the CDHA Board of Directors. She became President of the CDHA in 2005/2006.

In 2009, she became the interim registrar for the NB College of Dental Hygienists (NBCDH)when self-regulation for the profession of dental hygiene in NB received Royal Assent. She officially became the NBCDH Executive Director/Registrar in November 2012 and continues in this role today.

As part of her role with the NBCDH, Diane has served numerous years with the following organizations: The National Dental Hygiene Certification Board, The Federation of Dental Hygiene Regulators of Canada (FDHRC), CDAC (Board member, DH committee, Chair of the CDAC Finance Committee). She was also part of the transitional team member for CDAC’s separation from the Canadian Dental Association.
