Board and Committees

Call for Dentist – Health Facilities and Internship Accreditation Review Committee &
Call for Dental Assisting Educator – Dental Assisting Accreditation Review Committee

We are currently seeking applications for two committee positions:

  • One (1) dentist with experience in a health facility to serve on the Health Facilities and Internship Accreditation Review Committee
  • One (1) dental assisting educator to serve on the Dental Assisting Accreditation Review Committee

Each appointment is for a three-year term beginning in June 2026. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.

These committees play a key role in the accreditation process by reviewing accreditation survey reports and program progress reports.

Applications must be submitted by April 24th to be considered by the CDAC Governance and Nominations Committee.

CDAC Accreditation Surveyors

Individuals participating in accreditation surveys must have a background in the discipline of the program being reviewed (dentistry, dental specialty, dental hygiene, or dental assisting). Surveyors are expected to have relevant clinical and/or educational experience and a working knowledge of learning outcomes and graduate competencies.

As a surveyor, you will:

  • Evaluate educational programs against established accreditation standards and determine whether standards are met, exceeded, or not met
  • Provide constructive quality-improvement recommendations and identify areas of commendation
  • Compile, present, and document findings in an accreditation survey report for review by the Accreditation Review Committee in support of accreditation decisions
