CDAC Accreditation Surveyors
Individuals participating in accreditation surveys must have a background in the disciplines of the program surveyed (i.e. dentistry, dental specialty, dental hygiene or dental assisting). Surveyors must also have clinical and/or educational experience and must be familiar with the concepts of learning outcomes and graduate competencies.

- Experience working or partnering with others (e.g. patients, clinicians, administrators) on service design or quality improvement initiatives
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Good understanding of the local or regional health care system
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to unexpected changes
- Strong technology skills, including the ability to operate a computer and use web-based software
Surveyor responsibilities include reviewing pre-survey documentation submitted by the program, conducting on-site interviews with program faculty members, staff and students, and contributing to the accreditation survey report. Individuals wishing to be accreditation surveyors should review our surveyor recruitment policy and complete the surveyor application form.
CDAC is accepting applications for oral healthcare or education professionals who share our passion for promoting quality education and practitioner readiness. If you are looking for a challenge and seeking to contribute to improving the quality of oral health education this could be a perfect fit for you.
Terms: Must be available to participate in a minimum of 10 survey days per year (approximately 2 surveys per year). Additionally, some preparation and travel time may be required. Surveyors must also participate in initial training.
Compensation: Surveyors are paid a modest honorarium and reimbursed for travel expenses.

- Conducting on-site surveys as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Assessing the quality of programs and services against the standards and identifying areas for improvement
- Sharing your expertise and providing guidance on best practices
You have a unique history. Does it include the abilities and experience listed below?
- Currently employed by an organization that is accredited by CDAC or actively engaged in the health care or social services field.
- Experience as a mid-level (or higher) health care professional.
- Knowledge of CDAC’s accredited programs and accreditation processes.
- Experience working with others (e.g. patients, clinicians, or administrators) on governance, service design and/or quality improvement initiatives.
- Fluency in English and have excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience.
- Ability to analyze information and draw conclusions based on direct observation and document review.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to adapt to unexpected changes.
- Strong technology skills, including the ability to operate a computer and use web-based software.
