Board and Committees
Call for Nominations for Accreditation Review Committees
We are currently seeking applications for five committee positions:
- One (1) practicing Dentist who is affiliated with a general practice residency/internship program and who is registered and in good standing with their provincial regulatory body to serve on the Health Facilities and Internship Accreditation Review Committee
- One (1) person with experience/expertise in health facilities to serve on the Health Facilities and Internship Accreditation Review Committee
- One (1) dental assisting educator from a CDAC accredited program to serve on the Dental Assisting Accreditation Review Committee
- One (1) public member with accreditation experience to serve on the Dental Assisting Accreditation Review Committee
- One (1) dental hygiene educator from a CDAC accredited program to serve on the Dental Hygiene Accreditation Review Committee
Each appointment is for a three-year term beginning in March 2027. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
These committees play a key role in the accreditation process by reviewing accreditation survey reports and program progress reports.

CDAC Accreditation Surveyors
Individuals participating in accreditation surveys must have a background in the discipline of the program being reviewed (dentistry, dental specialty, dental hygiene, or dental assisting). Surveyors are expected to have relevant clinical and/or educational experience and a working knowledge of learning outcomes and graduate competencies.
As a surveyor, you will:
- Evaluate educational programs against established accreditation standards and determine whether standards are met, exceeded, or not met
- Provide constructive quality-improvement recommendations and identify areas of commendation
- Compile, present, and document findings in an accreditation survey report for review by the Accreditation Review Committee in support of accreditation decisions
